Margot Adelle Orr is the global masterplanning lead for Atkins Acuity. She leads complex, multidisciplinary, game-changing development and infrastructure projects.
Margot is a masterplanner and an urbanist, specializing in harnessing the inherent efficiencies and opportunities unique to strategic scale projects. Working globally, beyond safe haven markets, Margot’s projects often introduce new options for urban living that benefit from densities support by transit oriented development, diverse amenities and funding that supports the infrastructure required to create places that really work in the long term. The world’s population is moving into cities and Margot designs vibrant, long-lasting, and fun places to house that growth.
Consistently and effectively, Margot leads teams including economists, PPP and infrastructure funding experts, engineers, transport specialist, and environmentalists; ultimately leading to remarkably efficient, buildable, and bankable development. Margot has a strong history of designing under the sustainable development agenda and realistically achieving long lasting, low impact projects.
Margot has both a MArch (master of architecture) and an MUD (master of urban design) from Washington University. She is an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects, a member of the American Planning Association and a LEED Neighbourhood Development Accredited Professional.
